Why we do not publish a fixed price list
Want a tailored pressure cleaning quote?
Send us a couple of photos and the rough area, and we'll quote your driveway, paths, or full exterior in plain numbers within one business day.
If you have been searching for pressure cleaning prices in Sydney, you have noticed a huge range of quotes. Cheap operators advertise headline driveway specials. Bigger crews quote much more for what looks like the same job. The truth is that pressure cleaning quotes depend on a stack of factors that a price chart cannot capture, and the operators who advertise the lowest headline rate are usually the ones who skip pre-treatment, rush the job or do not carry insurance. Owner Kade priced this guide deliberately to walk you through what actually goes into a quote, rather than giving you a number that pretends to fit every home.
Here in the Hills District and across greater Sydney, we see homeowners regularly underestimate what a professional pressure clean involves. It is not just about pointing a hose at your driveway. The right operator uses commercial-grade equipment, adjusts pressure for different surfaces, and applies the correct cleaning solutions to get lasting results without causing harm. That is what you are paying for, and that is what changes job to job.
The six things that change every pressure cleaning quote
1. Surface type
What Changes Your Exterior Cleaning Quote
The seven factors that shape an accurate exterior cleaning quote, and how to get one fast. A plain-English planning guide with no pricing guesswork.
Concrete, exposed aggregate, sandstone, pavers, render, timber and Colorbond all need different pressure, chemistry and dwell times. A double driveway in plain concrete is a fast pressure-only job. The same area in Hawkesbury sandstone is a careful soft wash because high pressure will erode it. The two jobs take very different time and chemistry, and the quotes reflect that.
2. Total area
Bigger surface area means more time on site and more chemistry. A long Kenthurst acreage driveway can be three or four times the size of a Rouse Hill townhouse driveway. Per square metre rates only get you part of the way because setup time, chemistry, and finishing passes are largely fixed regardless of size. A custom quote captures both.
3. Stain load
Light algae on a north-facing driveway is a one-pass job. Heavy oil, rust, tyre marks and embedded eucalyptus oils need pre-treatment with the right chemistry, longer dwell times and sometimes a second pass. Hills District driveways under big eucalyptus canopies (Glenhaven, Kenthurst, Dural) almost always have an oil and tannin layer that needs targeted treatment, not just water.
4. Access and slope
Tight side passages, steep grades, retaining walls and limited water access all slow the surface cleaner down. Acreage homes in Glenhaven and Kenthurst regularly need extra hose runs and water tank top-ups. None of that shows up on a per-metre rate but it shows up in actual time on site, so we factor it into the quote.
5. Suburb and travel
We are based in the Hills District, so Castle Hill, Kellyville, Bella Vista, Baulkham Hills, Rouse Hill, Glenhaven, Kenthurst, Dural, Cherrybrook, West Pennant Hills, Norwest, North Rocks, Box Hill and Annangrove are our home turf. Acreage and further-out jobs add travel and gear loadout time. We are still happy to quote on jobs in Blacktown, Parramatta, the Northern Beaches and the Inner West, the quote just reflects the extra distance.
6. Bundling
Booking multiple services in one visit (driveway plus paths, plus a house wash, plus gutters) almost always saves a callout because we are already on site with the gear loaded. We quote bundled jobs as a single price rather than three separate callouts so the saving is visible up front. If you are weighing a partial job versus a full exterior, ask for both quotes and compare.
What we do not do
- We do not advertise headline driveway specials, because the operators who do are usually pressure-only with no insurance and the etched stripe pattern that signals an amateur job.
- We do not publish a per-square-metre rate that could be used as a ceiling against us, because actual rates vary by surface, stain load and access.
- We do not lock you into a quote without seeing the job. We quote from photos or an on-site visit, then lock in the price before we start.
- We do not skip pre-treatment to make a job look cheap. The pre-treatment is what makes the result last.
How to get an accurate quote in 24 hours
- Take 4 to 6 photos of the surfaces you want cleaned (driveway, paths, walls, fences, roof if relevant). Clear, well-lit photos beat measurements.
- Note your address. We use it to gauge access, suburb and the typical issues we see in your area.
- List anything specific you have noticed (oil stains, slippery sections, paint flaking, paver joints washing out).
- Send all of that through our free quote form. We come back the same day with a custom quote and a booking date.
How to vet any pressure cleaning operator before you book
Whether you book us or someone else, run the operator through these checks before you hand over a deposit. The cheap headline numbers you see online almost always fail at least one of them.
- Public liability insurance. Non-negotiable. Ask for a current certificate of currency. If something goes wrong (cracked window, water damage), you want to know you are covered.
- Equipment and method. Commercial-grade gear and a method that matches the surface. Anyone using a 0 degree tip on render or sandstone is going to damage it.
- Chemistry. Surfactants and biocides for biological growth. Pressure-only operators leave the algae spores behind and the surface re-greens within months.
- References and reviews. Look for local Hills District reviews, not just generic Sydney ones. Local operators understand local stains.
- Quote clarity. A written quote with scope, exclusions, payment terms and a booking date. Vague verbal quotes are the source of most disputes.
Bundling examples that usually make sense
These are the bundles most Hills District customers book because they save a callout.
- Driveway plus paths plus fences. Same gear, same site, one quote, one visit.
- House wash plus driveway. Soft wash for render or weatherboard, pressure for the driveway, both in one day. See soft washing versus pressure washing for the difference.
- Roof clean plus gutter clean. Roof debris feeds gutter blockages, so doing both saves a second callout and stops the cycle. See how often to clean gutters in Sydney.
- Full exterior package. House wash, gutters, driveway, paths and roof in one to two days. Best ROI for pre-sale prep and 2 to 3 yearly maintenance. See our exterior house cleaning guide.
Hills District suburbs we work in regularly
We are based in the Hills District and most of our work is local. Castle Hill, Kellyville, Bella Vista, Baulkham Hills, Rouse Hill, Glenhaven, Kenthurst, Dural, Cherrybrook, West Pennant Hills, Norwest, North Rocks, Box Hill and Annangrove are our home turf. Each of those suburbs has its own typical stain pattern (heavy eucalyptus around Kenthurst and Glenhaven, exposed aggregate in newer Bella Vista and Kellyville estates, sandstone in older Castle Hill streets) and the quotes reflect what we know about those streets specifically.
Your next step
If you have read this far you have a much better idea of what actually moves a pressure cleaning quote than the headline numbers you will see in Google ads. The most useful next step is a custom quote for your specific home. Send through a few photos and your address and we will come back the same day with a tailored quote that locks in the price before we start. If you have a question first, our contact page is here.
