We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and we handle marketing email in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, how our website and systems work, who we share information with, and the choices you have.

This policy covers our website at www.elevate-exteriors.com.au and the enquiries and bookings that come through it. By sending us an enquiry or downloading a guide, you agree to your information being handled as described here.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you give us

When you fill in a quote form, contact form, lead form or guide download form, we collect the details you enter, which can include:

Your name, email address and phone number
Your property or site address and the details of the work you need
Any message, project notes or access information you add
Your marketing preference, that is whether you tick the box to receive tips and offers
Billing details you provide when arranging and paying for a job, which are handled directly with you and are not collected or processed on this website

Different forms ask for different amounts of detail. We keep whatever each form collects so we can quote and carry out your job accurately.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the website we may collect:

Your IP address and general location, browser and device type
The pages you view, the page you came from, and the page you submitted a form from
Usage and analytics data through the tools listed in section 7

When you submit a form, we also record your IP address and browser details alongside the enquiry as a security and anti spam measure and to keep an accurate record of consent.

3. How Our Website and Systems Work

So you know exactly where your information goes, here is the path an enquiry or download takes:

Hosting: our website and its forms run on Vercel. When you submit a form, it is sent to a secure function hosted on Vercel that processes your request.
Storage: your enquiry and your consent choices are saved in our database, which is hosted by Supabase. This is where your lead record and consent record live.
Guide downloads: our free guides are stored as files in private Supabase storage. When you request one, the system creates a temporary secure link and emails it to you, and that link expires after a set time.
Email: confirmation emails to you, the guide delivery email, the notification to our team, and any marketing email you opt in to are all sent through Resend.

The service providers named above are listed with their roles in section 6.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange the work
Deliver a guide you have requested
Contact you about your job, including reminders and follow up
Keep a record of your requests and of the consent you have given
Send you tips and offers by email, but only if you have opted in
Improve the website, understand how it is used, and keep it secure
Meet our legal and record keeping obligations

5. Consent and Marketing Email

We only send marketing email if you have chosen to receive it. Marketing consent is a separate, unticked option on our forms, so you are never signed up by default. When you submit a form we record the consent you gave, including the date, the page and whether you opted in to marketing, so we have an accurate history.

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at contact@elevate-exteriors.com.au. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop the direct emails we need to send about a job you have asked us to do.

6. Service Providers We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that help us run the website and our business, and only so they can perform their service for us. These providers are:

Vercel: website hosting and the secure functions that process form submissions. Vercel is based in the United States.
Supabase: the database that stores your enquiry and consent records, and the private storage that holds our downloadable guides. Our Supabase project is hosted in the United States.
Resend: sends our transactional emails, guide deliveries, team notifications and opt in marketing email. Resend is based in the United States.
Google (Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4): website analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager and controlled by Google Consent Mode. Analytics cookies stay switched off until you accept them.
Vercel Web Analytics: privacy focused visitor analytics, which loads only after you accept analytics cookies.
Ahrefs Web Analytics: a cookieless analytics tool that gives us aggregate visit numbers without tracking you across sites.
Instagram and Meta: we embed our Instagram feed and link to our social pages, so Instagram and Meta may receive standard technical data when those elements load.
Google Fonts: serves the fonts used on the site, which involves your browser requesting files from Google.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use a cookie consent banner so you can control non essential cookies. Cookies are grouped into categories, including essential, analytics, marketing and social media. Essential cookies are needed for the site to work. All other categories stay off until you accept them.

Analytics: Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager, and Vercel Web Analytics. These load only after you accept analytics cookies. We use Google Consent Mode version 2, so analytics storage starts denied and is only granted with your consent.
Marketing and social media: if you accept these categories, tools such as social media or advertising features, including the Meta pixel where it is enabled, may be used. If you do not accept them, they are not loaded.
Cookieless analytics: Ahrefs Web Analytics runs without cookies and does not identify you personally.

You can change your choices at any time through the cookie settings on the website, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

8. Overseas Storage and Transfers

Several of our providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. This includes Vercel, Supabase, Resend and Google. By using the website and submitting your details, you consent to your information being stored and processed overseas by these providers. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers that protect your information.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection, our database access is restricted, and our downloadable guides are kept in private storage and delivered through temporary secure links rather than public files. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit who can access it.

10. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services, to keep proper business and tax records, and to meet our legal obligations. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de identify it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described in section 11.

11. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy
Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date
Ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal record keeping duties
Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time
Change your cookie choices at any time

12. Photography and Media

We often take before and after photos of the work we do to show the results of a clean. Where a photo could identify your property, we will ask for your permission before using it in marketing, on our website or on social media. You can ask us not to use photos of your property, or to remove a photo we have already used, by contacting us.

13. Third Party Links

Our website may link to other sites, such as our social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so we encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing your information with them.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our website, tools or legal obligations change. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Please check back so you stay informed about how we handle your information.
